ITINERARY
Day 1, February 4: Madrid - Rio de Janeiro
Flight to Brazil!
We will meet our tour guide at Madrid airport and begin our adventure by boarding our flight to Rio de Janeiro.

Upon arrival in this vibrant city, we will be met and transferred to our hotel, located in the prestigious South Zone of Rio de Janeiro, known for its stunning beaches, Copacabana and Ipanema, and above all, for its lively local scene.
We can take a stroll before bed and begin to experience the wonderful atmosphere of this city, especially during Carnival.
Day 2, February 5: Rio de Janeiro - Angra dos Reis - Rio de Janeiro
After breakfast at the hotel, we will meet in the lobby to depart for one of the most beautiful excursions, to one of Brazil's most breathtaking paradises. We will head west, where the spectacular landscape of Angra dos Reis awaits us.
After a three-hour journey through mountains and rainforest, we'll arrive at this coastal paradise. We'll head to the pier and board a schooner to sail through crystal-clear waters, discovering hidden gems along the way. Our first stop will be the famous Lagoa Azul on Ilha Grande, a perfect spot for snorkeling among starfish and tropical fish.
We'll continue exploring in Freguesia de Santana, where we'll learn about the history of Angra dos Reis' first church, built in 1843. And, of course, we'll take a moment to relax, stopping at the idyllic Praia de Japariz for a buffet lunch. Afterward, we'll have time for a refreshing dip in its turquoise waters.
After a day of pure adventure and breathtaking scenery, we'll begin our return to Rio, feeling like we've had a truly unique experience.
Day 3, February 6: Rio de Janeiro
We'll start our day with breakfast at the hotel and meet in the lobby. Before the tour begins, our guides will help you put the finishing touches on your costumes and makeup for this big day. From there, we'll be ready to enjoy a day of street Carnival in Rio de Janeiro.
One of the most anticipated events of the year is Carnival, and the blocos (street bands) are a major attraction. These groups, known for their energetic music and festive atmosphere, parade through the streets of Rio, bringing the essence of the celebration with them. We'll combine public transportation and walking to one of the main designated bloco meeting points. As we join in, we'll be immersed in a sea of vibrant colors and creative costumes. Music is the soul of the bloco, with bands playing live, infectious rhythms like samba, axé, and marchinhas. We'll have an interactive experience, where we can dance alongside the locals and enjoy the best Carnival in the world. A walking tour of the blocos (street parties) is an opportunity to experience Brazilian culture firsthand and celebrate alongside thousands of people in an atmosphere of pure joy and fun.
At the end of the tour, we will stop for a buffet lunch.

Access Samba Parade
The Access Category samba parade is the competition where smaller samba schools seek promotion to the main championship league. Participating in a samba parade during Carnival at the Rio de Janeiro Sambadrome is an incredible opportunity to live an exciting and unique experience. This activity requires commitment and a great deal of enthusiasm.
On Parade Day, we'll meet with the samba school a few hours before the start of the competition. Here, we'll receive instructions from the samba school leaders on how to enjoy and share the energy of the crowd while dancing and singing. Parading in the Sambadrome during Carnival is an opportunity to immerse yourself in Brazilian culture, connect with other samba enthusiasts, and be part of an unforgettable spectacle. Don't miss it!!
Day 4, February 7: Rio de Janeiro
Free day to relax, stroll, and soak up the sun on Copacabana or Ipanema beaches at your own pace. But if you'd like to continue exploring this wonderful city, we offer the option of booking an optional excursion. We can embark on an exciting and memorable 30-minute helicopter flight over the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro.
Flight Highlights:
Christ the Redeemer: We'll enjoy a breathtaking view of this iconic statue.
Sugarloaf Mountain: We will observe its magnificent contours from the air.
Copacabana and Ipanema: We'll admire the famous beaches and their vibrant coastal scenery.
And in the evening, optionally, we can experience the Rio de Janeiro Carnival at the world-renowned Sambadrome Marquês de Sapucaí. A unique experience that offers an unforgettable perspective of the dazzling samba schools competing for the title. We'll see how each samba school presents its theme with music, dance, and spectacular, elaborate, and colorful costumes that celebrate Brazil's rich culture. Attending the Sambadrome during the Rio de Janeiro Carnival is an experience that awakens all the senses and leaves indelible memories. Get ready for a night full of excitement, rhythm, and Brazilian culture.
Day 5, February 8: Rio de Janeiro
Today we can enjoy a leisurely breakfast, as the morning is free for you to explore the city or relax on the beach. However, if you'd like to continue discovering every corner of Rio de Janeiro, we recommend an optional excursion to one of the world's largest urban forests, just 10 minutes from the city center.
Tijuca Forest (Optional)
We'll begin a unique day where nature will surprise you at every turn! You'll be picked up directly from your hotel for an adventure in Tijuca National Park, one of the world's largest green lungs, a place full of life, magic, and unique energy. We'll start our route through the Tijuca Forest, an environmental preservation area. During the tour, you'll often see animals such as monkeys, sloths, and birds native to Brazil. At the end of this half-day excursion, we'll transfer you back to your hotel.
At midday, we will all meet in the hotel lobby to begin today's included activity. We will head to the restaurant where we can savor Brazilian delicacies at a buffet lunch. After refueling, we will continue our journey, first taking a panoramic tour of some of the beaches in Rio de Janeiro's South Zone. We will then proceed to the Urca neighborhood, home to the iconic Sugarloaf Mountain. This mountain is one of Rio de Janeiro's most recognizable symbols and one of the most captivating places to visit in this vibrant Brazilian city. We will ascend to the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain by cable car. The journey is divided into two stages, each offering spectacular views that allow us to fully appreciate the beauty of Rio de Janeiro. We will enjoy a unique and enviable perspective of the beautiful beaches of the South Zone, complementing an excursion filled with natural wonders and unbeatable views. A truly unforgettable experience!
At the end of the tour, we will transfer back to the hotel.
Day 6, February 9: Rio de Janeiro
After breakfast, we will meet in the hotel lobby to continue exploring the wonders this city has to offer.
Christ the Redeemer + City Tour with Buffet Lunch
We will experience a morning full of adventures and unforgettable views. We will begin our journey towards Mount Corcovado, crossing the lush rainforest of Tijuca National Park. Our first stop is one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World: Christ the Redeemer. From its viewpoint, you will have a spectacular view of the entire city. You will be able to see the legendary Maracanã Stadium, the iconic beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema, and Botafogo, and all the magic of Rio unfolding before your eyes. This is the perfect place to capture unforgettable photos.
After visiting Christ the Redeemer, we'll begin a City Tour of some of the city's most important landmarks, exploring the neighborhoods where the Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Sebastian, the magnificent Selarón Steps, and the Sambadrome Marquês de Sapucaí are located. Of course, we'll also pass by the legendary Maracanã Stadium, which we'll be able to admire from the outside.
At the end of the tour, before returning to the hotel, we'll enjoy a buffet lunch.
In the evening, you can optionally experience the Carnival parades in a special way. In the afternoon, we'll take a unique tour of Rio de Janeiro's historic center, exploring its rich history through a combination of public transportation and walking. Once in the city center, we'll enjoy a buffet lunch before starting the tour. We'll then board a tram for a panoramic ride through the charming Santa Teresa neighborhood, known for its cobblestone streets and bohemian atmosphere. After the cable Bondinho, we'll head to Confeitaria Colombo, Brazil's most famous pastry shop, known for its elegant Parisian-style architecture and its delicious selection of traditional Portuguese and Brazilian sweets. There, we'll have the opportunity to sample some of their exquisite specialties. Next, we'll stroll through Travessa do Comércio, a picturesque neighborhood filled with bars and restaurants, lined with beautiful colonial houses. We'll continue to Praça XV, one of Rio's most important squares, where we'll discover the old port, the Church of Nossa Senhora do Monte do Carmo, the former imperial chapel, and the Paço Imperial, the residence of the Portuguese royal family when they arrived in Rio in 1808. Our next stop will be Cinelândia, a famous square that became popular in the 1930s and was the social hub for the city's elite. We'll have breakfast, and this morning, we can make the most of every minute of our stay in Rio, strolling around, doing some last-minute shopping, or visiting a favela—a highly recommended excursion as it offers an incredible cultural immersion.
